Rincon/University High School head coach Roxanne Taylor earned her 500th career victory Thursday afternoon at the TUSD Ismael Arce Memorial Cup taking place at Palo Verde. The Rangers beat Tanque Verde 4-0 to secure the victory with freshman Adiel Muhono scoring what ultimately became the winning goal in the first half.

Taylor began coaching her children in youth soccer in 1976 and her coaching duties also included Little League baseball before taking up the head boys soccer position at Rincon/UHS in 1986. Taylor has three state championships to her name (1997, 1998 and 2007) along with two runner-up finishes (2008 and 2009).

The Rangers are currently 1-3 in power-ranking matches and the team will take on Catalina at 10 a.m. on Saturday on the final day of the Memorial Cup before regular season play resumes next week.
