Division I and II girls and boys basketball get down to state-tournament business Wednesday (Feb. 17) and Thursday (Feb. 18) with the No. 9 through 24 (or 23 seeds) opening the festivities. D-I GIRLS (Feb. 17)

#17 Corona del Sol at #16 Boulder Creek: Since Jan. 1 -- Both teams 5-8. Both have three-game losing streaks. Did not play this season. Winner plays at #1 Mesquite

#21 Pinnacle at #12 Liberty: Since Jan. 1 -- Liberty 8-5 and Pinnacle 2-11. Liberty won only meeting, 37-28. Winner plays at #5 Desert Vista.

#20 Perry at #13 Mountain Pointe: Since Jan. 1 -- Perry 3-9 and Mountain Pointe 6-5. Mountain Pointe won only meeting, 67-25. Winner plays at #4 Millennium

#19 Basha at #14 Sandra Day O'Connor: Since Jan. 1 -- Basha 1-11 and SDO 5-6. Did not play this season. Winner plays at #3 Hamilton.

#22 Chandler at #11 Gilbert: Since Jan. 1 --  Chandler 2-10 and Gilbert 8-5. Chandler won only meeting, 49-47. Winner plays at #6 Chaparral.

#23 Mountain View at #10 Horizon: Since Jan. 1 -- Mountain View 0-12 and Horizon 7-6. Horizon won only meeting, 60-25. Winner plays at #7 Xavier. 

#18 Westview at #15 Dobson: Since Jan. 1 -- Westview 0-12 and Dobson 6-7. Dobson won only meeting, 51-44. Winner plays at #2 Valley Vista.

D-I BOYS (Feb. 18)

#17 Brophy Prep at #16 Mountain Pointe: Since Jan. 1 -- Both teams 6-6. Mountain Pointe won only meeting, 65-62. Winner plays at #1 Corona del Sol. 

#24 Liberty at #9 Chandler: Since Jan. 1 --  Liberty 5-7 and Chandler 5-6. Chandler won only meeting, 94-91, last week. Winner plays at #8 Sunnyslope.

#21 Hamilton at #12 Desert Vista: Since Jan. 1 -- Hamilton 3-10 and Desert Vista 6-5, Desert Vista won only meeting, 61-49. Winner plays at #5 Mesa Mtn. View.

#20 Horizon at #13 Dobson: Since Jan. 1 -- Horizon 5-8 and Dobson 8-6. Dobson won only meeting, 98-94. Winner plays at #4 Gilbert.

#19 Boulder Creek at #14 Highland: Since Jan. 1 -- Boulder Creek 4-8 and Highland 5-7. HIghland won only meeting, 71-67. Winner plays at #3 Basha.

#22 Pinnacle at #11 Desert Mountain: Since Jan. 1 --  Pinnacle 4-9 and Desert Mountain 9-4. Desert Mountain won only meeting, 67-64. Winner plays at #6 Perry.

#23 Chaparral at #10 St. Mary's: Since Jan. 1 -- Chaparral 2-10 and St. Mary's 10-4. St, Mary's won only meeting, 59-54, last week. Winner plays at #7 Mountain Ridge.

#18 Red Mountain at #15 Desert Ridge: Since Jan. 1 -- Red Mountain 5-7 and Desert Ridge 7-5. Desert Ridge won only meeting, 45-36. Winner plays at #2 Mesa High.
