The state championships for golf are less than a month away and lots will happen before the first golfer tees off on Monday, Oct. 23.  Each division has its own set of rules for team and individual qualifying so let’s take a sample on what Division II on the girl’s side looks like as of Thursday night:

The six section winners in D-II will earn an automatic berth to the state tournament and those teams will be joined by nine at-large teams for a total of 15 teams. The next 21 individuals NOT attached to a qualifying team will earn a playoff spot also.

Tuesday, Oct. 17 is the last day a D-II team can play at the OMNI Tucson National and that is also the last day for qualifying.
