Four big schools from Southern Arizona will live to see another week thanks to a couple of thrilling finishes from the 5A ranks and a dominating performance from Cienega and Salpointe.
Salpointe hosted Sahuaro and Oro Valley Canyon del Oro on Tuesday at Randolph North in Tucson and Hughes finished with a 35 and Harris shot a 38. Sahuaro and Salpointe tied with a team score of 156 and The Dorados came in with a 207.
Harris competed in several other junior events this summer and will be traveling to Scottsdale this weekend to compete in the Scottsdale Junior Championship. She will also compete in the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Girl’s Championship in early September in Greenville, South Carolina.
