Sophomore Yume Takahashi moved to the United States almost a year ago and she since has decided to join the swim team. She is breaking records in the pool and breaking down culture and language barriers that previously held her back.

Shadow Ridge's freshman football hosted Basha in their home opener on Wednesday. Although Shadow Ridge suffered a loss, the team showed grit and perseverance throughout the game until the end.

As the team continues to prepare for competitions, it had to learn to adjust to new COVID-19 guidelines put in place as well as how to maintain community despite social distancing
