The team titles fell Brophy's and Xavier's way as usual, but Mesa Mountain View senior Payton Sorenson was the most decorated swimmer at the Division I swim and dive meet at Skyline Aquatic Center.

Sorenson, a senior, won his sprint specialties -- the 50 free and 100 free. Sorenson also swam a leg in the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay triumphs by the Toros helping them to a second-place finish behind Brophy.

Brophy totaled 412 points and was led by senior Chris Webb. Webb was the winner in the 200 free and 500 free and was part of the Broncos winning 200 free relay. Teammate Michael Nelson won the 100 breast, the Broncos only other event victory. Mountain View (244) was second, Highland (202) third, Desert Mountain fourth and Red Mountain fifth.

A rare dead heat took place between Catalina Foothills Jason Altenado and Desert Mountain's Brandon Hughes in the 200 IM. Both were clocked at 1:53.84. Gilbert's Alex Schultz (100 back) and Rincon's Reed Patterson (100 fly) did not share their titles.

The Division I dive title went to Highland's Bryce Farabee with a score of 423.30. That was a point back of D-II boys champ Hayden Sells for top dive score among all boys, but 28 points better than D-I runner-up Nathan Belch of Catalina Foothills.

In the girls compeition Xavier didn't win any individual titles, but won all three relays an using depth to pile up 429 points. Pinnacle was the runner-up (194) followed by Mesa Mountain View (172), Chaparral (168) and Desert Vista (149).

The only two-event winner was Mesa Mountain View junior Kat Simonovic, who won the 100 free and 200 free. The rest of the D-I individual winners were Chaparral's Megan Cox (200 IM), Canyon del  Oro's Maggie McCord (50 free), Red Mountain's Samantha Guttmacher (100 fly), Chaparral's Lexy Aichison (500 free), Mountain Pointe's Clara Jenck (100 back) and Ironwood Ridge's Sara Borendame (100 breast).
