Freshman Sydney Deogracias has been playing tennis on and off for her entire life. This year she decided to join the women’s tennis team and has been loving it! 

“ I love the sport, and I love my team.” Sydney says. She explains that she wanted to do tennis because her dad has always played it and she loves the sport.

Sydney goes on to say how she loves the coaches. She believes the positive feedback from the coaches is helping her to improve a lot. She also enjoys how the whole team is super close and super encouraging towards each other. “The team is really good this year. They have only lost two matches and are ranked number 14.” 

 After being asked how COVID-19 has affected her sport, she states that, 

“Surprisingly, it has not affected it because it’s outside; therefore, we don’t need masks.”

She adds, “I definitely would recommend tennis to other people because it’s such a fun sport, and the team is like family.”
