Christopher Owen attends Canyon View High School and is a member of the AIA's Student SID program.

The Canyon View Lady Jaguars played rival Verrado and won at home in four sets. 

"There's always room for improvement, I'm just working on staying steady throughout the whole game," senior Trevi Jones said after the match.

Freshman Ylame Dsamou started the scoring for Canyon View in the first set by tying the score at 1-1. Dsamou would later serve to make the score 6-3 with a Jaguars in front. 

In the second set, Jones blocked the ball at the net making the score 4-3 Canyon View. Later in the set, Jones scored again at the net to pull the Jaguars within three at 14-11 with Vipers at the front. 

In the final set, junior Yzziane Dsamou stepped up to lead the Jags to the win. 

"Seeing them come back from yesterday's loss and keep moving forward, looking to the next ball regardless," head coach Stephanie Parker preached.
