Eight swim teams participated at the Crim Swim Invitational at the Valley Aquatic Center in Yuma, Arizona on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021. Under head coach, Melody Pinkerton, in her 13th season with the Gilbert Christian Knights, the Lady Knights took fifth place overall and the Men Knights took 5th place overall.

James Grone, SR, championed the 50 yard freestyle and qualified for the state competition with a time of 23.02. Way to go James, pictured below!

The Girls A Relay in the 4 x 100 freestyle took first place and lowered their time to 4:15.67, just 3.42 seconds higher than their current school record giving them a goal to strive for and break before the end of the swim season. The A 4 x 100 freestyle Relay team consists of Mileigh Allan, FR; Katie Hansen, FR; Cameryn Jones, SR; and Emilie Follett, JR, pictured below.

In addition, the girls A Relay team also broke their school record in the 200 Medley Relay finishing with a time of 2:06.69, 2.60 seconds faster. The A Medley Relay team consists of Cameryn Jones, SR, (backstroke), Katie Hansen, FR, (breaststroke), Emilie Follett, JR, (butterfly), and Mileigh Allan. FR, (freestyle). Way to go girls!
