SLAC School Spirit Video Competition returning for 2021-22

Does your school have spirit?
The AIA's Student Leadership Advisory Committee wants to know. Following up on last year's successful school spirit video campaign showing schools thriving during the pandemic, we want to see how your school showcases its spirit among the student population.
Requirements for entry:
- One submission of a video of a maximum three minutes length can be submitted only by the school administration, not the students, between February 11, 2022.
- The video must be submitted to slac@aiaonline.org via Google Drive, DropBox, or Youtube link along with the school name, name of submitter, the submitter’s role at the school and the conference of the school (EX. 4A Conference).
- The video must feature four or more sports or activities* MINIMUM. Sports can be individual or team.
- The featured sports must include at least two male sports and two female sports. (exceptions for one gender schools – must still include a minimum of two sports).
- One student must be featured at least once in the video, in an interview format, speaking about the message the school wishes to convey with respect to school spirit, the unique nature of the school, and sportsmanship.

This does not mean the amount of students at the game. In determining a winner, we value quality over quantity. The energy should be high with lively students in a SAFE environment. |

Extra Points |
These points are not guaranteed and are based on the discretion of SLAC. They can be earned if the video demonstrates, in a tasteful manner, how some of the following examples contribute to school spirit and the students. Examples:

Scoring Guidelines:
- The members of SLAC will use a ranking system for each category from 1 to 5. These scores will be collected and averaged.
- Extra points will be decided by a majority vote of SLAC members.
- The school with most points from each conference (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A) will be the winner of their conference. The 1A-3A conference winners will be placed into the small school division, and the 4A-6A conference winners will be placed into the large school division.
- Videos of each of the winning schools will be made available on the AZPreps365 Live mobile app for the small and large school divisions for purposes of fans to vote for the overall winners from each division.
Award:
- The winning small and large school will receive a $1,000 cash prize to their athletic department awarded at the AIA Champions Gala in May.
