Canyon del Oro went 8-0 to capture the championship of the Dorado Classic held at Lincoln Park in Tucson including a 12-6 win over Mesa Mountain View (7-1) in the championship final on Saturday.
The Toros have one of the top 6A pitchers in the state in Hina Huber and the BYU commit paced the Toros to a 4-3 lead over the Dorados with 2-RBI triple in the bottom of the third inning but that lead started to fade in the top of the sixth when the Dorados plated five runs to go up 8-4.
