GCHS Knights take first round of 3A volleyball playoffs

All smiles after winning the first round of the 3A VB playoffs, 3 - 2!

Laura Fellows is the media advisor for Gilbert Christian's Student SID program that contributes content on behalf of the school to AZPreps365.com.

Gilbert Christian Knights, ranked #8, beat Monument Valley Mustangs, #9, in first round of the Girls Varsity Volleyball playoffs to advance to the next round, quarterfinals, at 5:00PM today.

Both teams played well with Monument Valley taking the first two sets, 25 – 17 and 25 – 19 and Gilbert Christian taking the second two sets 25 – 19 and 26 – 24.

Pushing the 2-2 tie to a fifth match where Gilbert Christian dominated with a score of 15 – 9.
