Pima Aztec Classic semifinals are set

The semifinals are set for the Pima Aztec Christmas Classic after three days of bracket play. Chandler beat Flowing Wells 55-33 in the quarterfinal round and the Wolves will face ALA-Ironwood in the semifinals on Thursday with the Warriors beating Cibola 69-60 in their quarterfinal game Wednesday night. Tucson beat Cholla 58-42 to set up the other semifinal against Sahuaro. The Cougars beat ALA-Gilbert North 77-65 in the quarterfinal round.
Ezias Steffen led Chandler with 19 points against Flowing Wells and Kaden Garber added nine. Richard Legarra scored 10 to lead the Caballeros.
Chad Coplin led ALA-Ironwood with 21 points and Tony Willis added 14. Jonah Ponder led Cibola with 19 points.
Julio Marquez scored 16 to lead the Badgers and Jeremiah Luna added 11. Masai Dean scored 12 points to lead Cholla and Cameron Walker scored 11.
Titus Palmer scored 22 points to lead Sahuaro and Cisco Llamas added 18. Marques Dorsey led all scorers with 27 points and Emil Alves scored 12 for ALA-Ironwood.
