Shawn Salazar, Joseph Ortiz and Sahuarita coaches recognized by the NWCA

The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) named Round Valley head coach Shawn Salazar the Arizona Girls State Coach of the Year. In addition, the staff of Sahuarita was named Assistant Coaching Staff of the Year for Arizona and the overall Section VII Staff of the Year.
On the boy’s side, Joseph Ortiz of Canyon View was named the Arizona Boys State Coach of the Year and Corona del Sol earned the Assistant Coaching Staff of the Year for Arizona.
