Camp Verde boys advance to Yvonne Johnson title game with 66-53 win over Kingman Academy

CAMP VERDE — Manny Tena scored 16 points, grabbed six rebounds and recorded four steals in a 66-53 win over Kingman Academy on Tuesday afternoon.

Camp Verde (9-5, 0-0 2A Central) has won four straight and six of their last seven games after defeating Wickenburg 78-21 and Red Mesa, 64-32, to open the tournament.

Gage Russel had 14 points and five rebounds, Alex Ruiz had 11 points and seven rebounds to lead the Cowboys, who will play Wilcox in the tournament championship game at 6 p.m. Wilcox beat Many Farms 49-47.
