FB stats: Cactus Shadows' Kinsler moves into national list
September 26, 2012 by Jose Garcia, AZPreps365
Besides setting a new state record for passing yards in a game, Cactus Shadows’ Bryce Kinsler also moved into the national record books.
The 639 yards Kinsler threw in Friday’s game against Prescott is the 6th highest total to ever get recorded in the nation, according to the record books of the National Federation of State High School Associations. David Koral of California Pacific Palisades is the national record holder with 764 passing yards, a feat accomplished in 2000 against Van Nuys Grant.
On Friday, Kinsler also became the fist quarterback in Arizona high school history to throw for more than 600 yards in a game during his team’s 63-49 loss to Prescott.
