AIA365.com, The Fan radio feature plenty of good football

July 17, 2013 by Don Ketchum, AZPreps365

There’s nothing like high school football on a Friday night to get the blood flowing.

But sometimes you can’t make a game in person.

That’s where AIA365.com and “The Fan’’ radio (1060 AM) come in. You can follow your favorite team online or over the airwaves.

Those entities will combine forces for a weekly schedule beginning with the first full week of games on Aug. 30.

The first Friday will feature two exceptional ones – Scottsdale Desert Mountain vs. Phoenix Brophy Prep at Phoenix College and Scottsdale Saguaro at Scottsdale Chaparral.

Desert Mountain will feature two of the state’s top players in receiver Mark Andrews and quarterback Kyle Allen. And Brophy will be playing what likely is the toughest schedule in the state.

The Saguaro-Chaparral rivalry speaks for itself, one of the best in the state, hard-hitting with rarely a dull moment.

Among the other top games: Show Low at Queen Creek (Sept. 13), Scottsdale Notre Dame Prep vs. Phoenix St. Mary’s at Phoenix College (Sept. 27), Phoenix Mountain Pointe at Phoenix Desert Vista (Oct. 4), Mesa Mountain View at Mesa (Oct. 18), and Yuma Catholic at Phoenix Northwest Christian and Brophy at Desert Vista (Nov. 1).

Here is the full schedule. The first game listed each week will be on AIA365.com and “The Fan.’’ The rest are solely webcasts. Webcasts begin at 7:05 p.m., radio at 7:07.
