When I covered Monday night’s (Nov. 25) Division III semifinal game between Scottsdale Saguaro and Goodyear Desert Edge, I knew that Desert Edge quarterback Anthony Hernandez threw five touchdown passes.

What I didn’t realize was that the scores give him 60 for the season, a state record. Saguaro’s Luke Rubenzer threw nine TD passes, giving him 58.

My apologies to Anthony and Desert Edge for the oversight, and congratulations for a great season.
