Another Seton Catholic Wirth worth 2,000 (points)

Six years ago Christina Wirth wound up her high school basketball career at Seton Catholic with more than 2,000 points -- 2,550 to be exact between 2002-2005 for the Sentinels. Christina went on to an outstanding four-year career at Vanderbilt, played in the WNBA with Indiana and has played professionally in Europe.

Christina's little sister, Theresa, is doing a decent job following in the footsteps. Theresa Wirth joined the 2,000-point club last week in Seton's final regular season game when she scored 13 points in a victory over Williams Field to give her exactly 2,000 in her career spanning 2008-present.

Theresa Wirth is headed to college at the University of Denver in the fall. While she trails Christina in points, she has one thing Christina does not -- a state title to brag about. That's the one Seton captured last year when it beat Page in the 4A-II final. Theresa Wirth has at least one more game and as many as four to add to her 2,000-point career. The first is Tuesday night when Seton hosts Washington in the first round of the 2011 4A-II state tournament.  I would think winning a second state title would more than make up for the 500-point deficit Theresa has vs. Christina --  if the one title hasn't already accomplished that.
