May Madness ended Tuesday night and with it the 2015-2016 athletic year in the state. With spring sports wrapping things up 79  championship trophies were handed out with 52 schools winning at least one championship

Notre Dame Prep and Hamilton garnered the most titles with four. Four schools won three -- Desert Vista, Scottsdale Prep, Chandler and Thatcher. Thirteen schools won two titles. Here are the champions:

FALL SPORTS

Badminton -- Xavier Prep. Boys Cross Country -- Desert Vista, Flagstaff, Page and Hopi. Girls Cross Country -- Chandler, Flagstaff, Page and Scottsdale Prep. Football: Centennial, Saguaro, Desert Edge, Pusch Ridge, Joy Christian and Pima. Boys Golf -- Desert Mountain and Campo Verde. Girls Golf -- Xavier and Sahuaro. Boys Fall Soccer -- Chino Valley. Girls Fall Soccer -- Blue Ridge. Boys Swimming -- Brophy and Salpointe. Girls Swimming -- Chaparral and Notre Dame Prep.  Girls Volleyball -- Desert Vista, Notre Dame Prep, Greenway, Thatcher and Pinon.

WINTER SPORTS

Boys soccer -- Hamilton, South Mountain, Yuma Catholic and Pueblo. Girls soccer -- Desert Vista, Notre Dame Prep, Fountain Hills and Anthem Prep. Boys basketball -- Mesa High, Shadow Mountain, Scottsdale Christian, Yuma Catholic and San Carlos. Girls basketball -- Hamilton, Seton Catholic, South Mountain, Thatcher and Valley Sanders. Wrestling -- Ironwood Ridge, Liberty, Safford and Morenci.

SPRING SPORTS

Baseball --- Hamilton, Greenway, Alhambra, Apache Junction, Pima. Softball -- Hamilton, Ironwood Ridge, Catalina Foothills, Pueblo, Ray. Boys volleyball: Boulder Creek, Seton. Boys tennis:  Desert Mountain, Catalina Foothills, Thatcher. Girls tennis: Mesa Mtn. View, Notre Dame Prep, Benson. Boys Track: Chandler, Desert Edge, Snowflake, Scottsdale Prep. Girls track: Chandler, Deer Valley, Fountain Hills, Scottsdale Prep. Spring golf:  Valley Christian.
