The Arizona Interscholastic Association's executive board accepted Blue Ridge High School's report Thursday that there was no recruiting violation in regard to former Valley Christian standout Jordan Morgan enrolling at Blue Ridge last month.

As a result, Morgan is eligible to play for Blue Ridge effective immediately. Morgan sat out the Yellow Jackets first two games games this season while Blue Ridge's administration checked into alleged recruiting of Morgan by a Blue Ridge assistant. Neighboring Show Low High brought forward information it believed constituted recruiting of Morgan.

After listening to nearly an hour of testimony from Jordan Morgan's father and former Valley Christian coach Bill Morgan, Jordan Morgan's mother, Carla,  Jordan, Show Low athletic director Nathan Richardson and three Show Low players, the executive board made its decision.

"I don't have enough information that says Jordan can't play football," board member Bob Kosower said. "Kosower recommended accepting the report. The rest of the board followed through.

"I thank the AIA for seeing this case through, and seeing how tough it can be on families," Bill Morgan said. "I'm happy I'll be able to see my son and move on with his senior year.... The last few months have been very hard."

Jordan Morgan left Valley Christian last spring after Bill Morgan was let go as football coach. Jordan Morgan continued his schooling on-line. His mother, Carla lost her job at Valley Christian after Jordan withdrew.

The Morgans then enrolled Jordan at Chandler High this summer. When a potential job at Chandler High for Carla Morgan fell through when the current school year began, the Morgans decided to move back north where they have a home. They enrolled Jordan at Blue Ridge the first week of August.
