State Tournament Team Qualifying

In order to qualify, a school must have played a minimum of 10 matches. The top 16 ranked teams and all section champions qualify for the tournament. If a section champion is ranked outside the top 16, the section champion plays a play-in match vs the team in the top 16 at the higher ranked teams’ site rather than replacing them.
Example: Section champions are ranked No. 17 and No. 30. No. 30 will play at No. 15 and No. 17 will play at No. 16. Winner of these matches will be placed in the 16-team state team tournament and will all be seeded according to ranking.

State Tournament Individual Qualifying

Divisions I-III (32-place bracket singles/doubles): The top eight (8) power-ranked teams at the end of the regular season will enter one singles player and one doubles team. The remaining 24 singles players and 24 doubles teams will be selected by the Tennis Advisory Committee. All schools, including the top eight, can submit a tournament entry for a singles player(s) and/or doubles team(s) for consideration to be selected into the draw. The top eight (8) seeds on the state tournament bracket will be placed according to the approved criteria by the Seeding Committee at the seeding meeting. The Seeding Committee will consist of varsity head coaches who will contribute only for the divisions in which their players compete. The state tournament will consist of five rounds and will be single elimination.
